COMMUNITY SERVICE

The law firm of Stover, Stewart & Phillips, is dedicated to community service in Etowah County, Alabama and throughout the state. Our firm, and individuals in our firm, contribute to many worthy causes in the community. The firm has helped to sponsor many children’s youth activities including: little league, youth football, and youth cheerleading.

Additionally, our law firm remains committed to public service. Our eldest member, Judge Donald W. Stewart, is a former Etowah County circuit judge who served four terms. Presently, Jay E. Stover is a presiding municipal judge in the city of Rainbow City, Alabama. In Rainbow City, he conducts court twice per month handling criminal violations and misdemeanors.

Randy Phillips is a retired captain with the Gadsden Police Department. He worked with the police department for 23 years and rose to the rank of captain.

Scott Stewart is active in many church activities and is an elder at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Glencoe, AL.

In addition to sponsoring the various youth activities in Etowah County, the law firm is proud to sponsor many activities involving law enforcement. The firm remains dedicated to supporting law enforcement and all that those individuals stand for. Such sponsoring activities include helping to sponsor the annual Gadsden Police Banquet at which many of our fine police officers are honored for their service to the community.
